    Description

COOL-LITE SKN 175 II balances the advantages of a high performance neutral solar control product with:

    • High light transmission 70%
    • Low g-value of 0.35
    • Excellent U-value of 1.0W/m2K
    • High degree of neutrality

COOL-LITE SKN 175 II can be used to create more comfortable interiors by reducing overheating and the need for costly air conditioning, whilst at the same time noticeably reducing excessive heat loss. The high light transmittance also reduces the requirement for interior lighting during daylight hours, helping reduce energy costs even further.

    Processing

    • COOL-LITE SKN 175 can be supplied to-be-tempered or annealed. Where the product name includes “II”, this denotes that the coated glass must be heat treated, i.e. thermally toughened or heat-strengthened.
    • COOL-LITE SKN 175 can be assembled into an insulated glazed unit with the coating on face 2. Edge deletion is required.
    • COOL-LITE SKN 175 can be laminated with the coating not in contact with the interlayer. STADIP, STADIP PROTECT and STADIP SILENCE are Saint-Gobain laminated glass technologies.
    • COOL-LITE SKN 175 II is supplied with EASYPRO.

    Safety

Safety glass, which will be either toughened or laminated, depending on where and how it is being used, protects from the risk of serious injury caused by accidental breakage or impact. When it breaks, it breaks safely.

Types of safety glass have different benefits:

    • Toughened glass fractures into small relatively blunt fragments upon failure, preventing cutting and piercing injuries associated with large shards of annealed glass.
    • Laminated glass contains a polymeric interlayer, designed to retain sections of glass in the event of fracture, and so prevent shards separating from the main body of the glass. Laminated glass also provides an enhanced level of protection where there is a change in level, and so a risk of falling, or where there is a potential for objects to fall from height onto occupied areas below.

The type and level of safety can vary from one project to the next. Saint-Gobain Glass always recommend seeking advice from one our Technical Specification Managers (TSM) before you proceed with a particular glass type.

    Sustainability

Saint-Gobain Glass is leading the industry in the design and manufacture of sustainable building glass.

Saint-Gobain Glass products are manufactured using a minimum of 30% recycled content.

GLASS FOR BATH AND SHOWER SCREENS

    SGG TIMELESS®

SGG TIMELESS is a glass used in shower screens to which a highly transparent surface coating has been applied. This treatment facilitates the maintenance of glass walls that are subject to water splashing, such as in showers or bathtubs.

    Description

TIMELESS from Saint-Gobain is a unique range of glass products for shower screens, shower cubicles and bath screens providing guaranteed long-lasting transparency.

High degree of transparency and a neutral appearance

SGG TIMELESS consists of a very clear glass, SGG PLANICLEAR, to which a virtually invisible coating is applied. SGG TIMELESS is therefore very transparent and does not alter colour perception, irrespective of the thickness of the glass.

An anti-corrosion effect for a lasting transparency

Day in, day out, the glass is protected against corrosion, so that it does not become whitish and maintains its attractive appearance

    Low-maintenance glass

Water slips over the surface of the glass, which limits limescale deposits and marks. Any residual marks clean off more easily than on non-treated glass

    High-durability treatment

SGG TIMELESS is obtained by magnetron deposition of a coating of metal oxides. This treatment lasts over time without losing its effectiveness, and can withstand all types of industrial processing

    Applications

SGG TIMELESS is designed for applications in showers and can be used in:

    • Shower screens
    • Shower cubicles/ shower enclosures
    • Bath screens

Anti-corrosion properties of the TIMELESS range ensure the glass does not whiten over time and it’s also easier to clean than non-treated glass as water slips over the surface limiting limescale deposits.

Manufactured with high-durability treatment, TIMELESS maintains its attractive appearance and is available in a range of different thicknesses.

    Performance

SGG TIMELESS is available on clear glass in 4, 6, 8 and 10mm thicknesses.

    Standard dimensions:

3210 x 6000 mm (other dimensions: please contact SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS)

SGG ANTELIO solar control glass is manufactured by an online coating process.

    Description

Applied onto SGG PLANICLEAR clear glass or SGG PARSOL body-tinted glass during the manufacture of the glass on the float line, the coating is fused by pyrolysis, which gives it a number of properties:

    • Total integration with the surface of the glass
    • Strength and stability over time, so the coating can be positioned on the outer face (face 1) or the inner face (face 2) of the glass
    • Solar control properties and a reflective appearance

    Range

    Four different variations:

    • SGG ANTELIO CLEAR on SGG PLANICLEAR clear glass

    • SGG ANTELIO BRONZE on SGG PARSOL BRONZE body-tinted glass

All the products can be used in façades, with the coating on face 1 or face 2:

    • On face 1, the façade has a more reflective and uniform appearance producing true and vibrant reflections of the surrounding environment
    • On face 2, its appearance and reflection is generally softer and the colour of the base glass is more apparent and accentuates the features of the façade

    Applications

    • Offices and commercial buildings
    • Schools and industrial buildings
    • Apartment blocks

SGG ANTELIO glass can be used in most types of façade:

    Authentic decorative appearance

The aged appearance of MIRALITE ANTIQUE and MIRALITE VERSAILLES offers the imperfections that are so desirable in many upmarket interiors. The appearance of antique mirrors may be achieved over large areas if required with the consistency of manufactured quality and excellent environmental credentials providing designers with confidence throughout a project.

Highly durable and easy to maintain

Produced using advanced manufacturing techniques MIRALITE ANTIQUE and MIRALITE VERSAILLES will withstand regular household cleaning products. Do not use harsh products (acid solution, highly alkaline or very abrasive liquids). Ensure that no residue from cleaning products is left around the edges.

    Safety

MIRALITE ANTIQUE and MIRALITE VERSAILLES may be specified with a protective plastic film applied to the back of the mirror for use in high traffic areas and others where impact may be a possibility. The film prevents the glass from shattering in to large shards, providing extra safety in case of impact or accidental damage, with no adverse effect on the appearance of the mirror.
